The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has issued a document entitled Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship: A Call to Political Responsibility. The document outlines Catholic moral and social teachings to guide us as we prepare to vote by helping us to properly form our consciences. The bishops consider participation in political life to be a moral obligation.
