Homily, 11-21-22; Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary:
Today we celebrate the Memorial of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We consider Mary, conceived without original sin being presented in the Temple as a young child. We consider, also, that she continued to be sinless throughout the entirety of her life. She is our model.
Jesus came to dwell among us. He is our God and we are his people. If we do the will of the Father, He considers us his brothers and sisters and mother. We are called to be obedient to the will of the Father following the example of Jesus and Mary.
But often when we fail, we often try to rationalize. We excuse our misdeeds by saying:
