Homily, 7-4-22; Independence Day:
This is the 4th of July, Independence Day. And the proper prayers for this Independence Day Mass speak of peace and unity and justice. We need to pray for peace, unity, and justice because they seem to be in short supply in our nation today. Over the years we have come together to celebrate the freedom we enjoy as a country, but sadly we now hear many cursing and disowning our country. There is a great divide among our citizens as a result of a difference in a basic belief of what freedom means. Is it a freedom to follow God
