After I completed my first book, Orthoscopy: Clear Vision to See What We Ought to Do, I felt called by God to write a second book about Purgatory. Orthoscopy was intended to help the reader make good decisions on their earthly journey so that they could reach their desired final destination of Heaven. But it did not address the fact that the journey might not end when we die, that the journey might have to continue through Purgatory if the soul needs to be cleaned up and purified before it enters Heaven. My original working title for the book was Orthoscopy II: The Rest of the Journey.
The work on the Purgatory book did not go as quickly or as smoothly as the original book. There were many false starts, dead ends, and long periods of inaction as I questioned whether God really wanted me to write the book at all. And then during Lent of 2021, the Holy Spirit guided me to an approach that quickly fell into place. I am now at a point where I am starting to pursue a publisher.
To this end I have revamped my old website that had become obsolete. Join me, if you will, as I share “the rest of the journey” to get the book published.
